본 개인정보처리방침은 ViewReader (이하 "애플리케이션")가 사용자의 정보를 어떻게 처리하는지 설명합니다. 당사는 사용자의 프라이버시를 최우선으로 생각하며, 투명한 데이터 처리를 약속합니다.

1. 접근성 서비스 (Accessibility Service) 사용 고지

ViewReader는 핵심 기능을 제공하기 위해 안드로이드의 AccessibilityService API를 사용합니다. 이 권한은 다음과 같은 목적으로만 사용됩니다:

화면 텍스트 인식(OCR): 사용자가 지정한 화면 영역의 텍스트를 읽어오기 위해 화면 내용을 분석합니다.
자동 스크롤 제스처: 긴 문장을 연속해서 읽을 수 있도록 시스템에 스크롤 제스처를 요청합니다.

개인정보 보호 보장: 접근성 서비스를 통해 분석되는 모든 화면 데이터는 오직 텍스트 추출 및 읽기/번역을 위해서만 일시적으로 사용됩니다. 당사는 어떠한 데이터도 저장, 기록 또는 외부 서버로 전송하지 않으며, 모든 처리는 사용자의 기기 내부(On-Device)에서만 이루어집니다.

2. 데이터 수집 및 처리

ViewReader의 핵심 읽기 기능(화면 인식, 번역, 음성 안내)은 원칙적으로 사용자의 개인정보를 수집하지 않습니다.

텍스트 및 번역 데이터: Google ML Kit를 사용하여 기기 내에서 로컬로 처리됩니다. 데이터는 클라우드로 전송되지 않습니다.
음성 데이터: 기기 기본 TTS(Text-to-Speech) 엔진을 사용하며, 음성 데이터는 기기 밖으로 유출되지 않습니다.
사용자 설정: 앱의 설정값(속도, 언어 등)은 사용자의 기기에만 안전하게 저장됩니다.
광고 및 결제(Pro 잠금 해제 기능): 번역 등 Pro 기능은 평생 이용권 결제(Google Play Billing) 또는 보상형 광고 시청(Google AdMob)으로 잠금 해제할 수 있습니다. 보상형 광고를 시청하는 경우, Google AdMob이 광고 식별자 등 기기 정보를 수집·처리할 수 있으며, 결제 시 Google Play Billing이 결제 처리를 위해 필요한 정보를 처리합니다. 이 정보는 Google의 개인정보처리방침에 따라 처리되며, 애플리케이션 자체는 이 데이터를 별도로 수집·저장하지 않습니다.

3. 타사 서비스 이용

애플리케이션은 안정적인 서비스 제공을 위해 다음의 신뢰할 수 있는 타사 서비스를 이용할 수 있습니다:

Google ML Kit (텍스트 인식 및 번역 엔진)
Android System TTS
Google AdMob (보상형 광고 – Pro 체험 잠금 해제 시에만 사용)

4. 광고 개인정보 설정 및 삭제 요청

광고 ID 등 광고 관련 정보는 기기 설정(설정 > Google > 광고 > 광고 개인 최적화 선택 해제, 또는 광고 ID 재설정)에서 언제든지 직접 제어하거나 초기화할 수 있습니다. 애플리케이션을 삭제하면 Pro 잠금 상태를 포함해 기기에 로컬로 저장된 모든 데이터가 함께 삭제됩니다. 애플리케이션 자체는 별도의 서버 계정을 운영하지 않으므로, 삭제 요청은 위 방법으로 대부분 충족됩니다.

5. 이용자의 권리 (GDPR·CCPA 등)

거주 지역의 법률(예: EU/영국의 GDPR, 미국 캘리포니아의 CCPA/CPRA 등)에 따라 이용자는 자신에 관한 정보의 열람, 정정, 삭제, 처리 제한, 이의제기 등을 요청할 권리를 가질 수 있습니다. 애플리케이션 자체는 서버에 개인 데이터를 저장하지 않으며, Google이 처리하는 데이터(광고, 결제)에 대한 권리는 Google의 정책 및 설정을 통해 행사할 수 있습니다. 그 외 문의사항은 아래 이메일로 연락해 주세요.

6. 아동 보호

7. 면책 조항

This Privacy Policy describes how ViewReader ("the Application") handles your information. We prioritize your privacy and are committed to transparent data practices.

1. Accessibility Service Disclosure

ViewReader utilizes the Android AccessibilityService API to provide its core functions. These permissions are used exclusively for:

Screen Text Recognition (OCR): Analyzing screen content to read text from the area specified by the user.
Automated Scrolling Gestures: Executing system-level scroll gestures to facilitate continuous reading of long content.

Privacy Guarantee: All screen data processed via the Accessibility Service is used temporarily for text extraction and translation. We do NOT collect, store, record, or transmit any data to external servers. All processing is strictly performed On-Device.

2. Data Collection and Usage

ViewReader's core reading features (screen recognition, translation, voice guidance) do not collect any personal information as a matter of principle.

Text & Translation Data: Processed locally using Google ML Kit. No data is sent to the cloud.
Voice Data: Uses the device's built-in Text-to-Speech (TTS) engine. Data remains on the device.
User Settings: Application preferences (speed, language, etc.) are stored safely on your device only.
Ads & Purchases (Pro unlock features): Pro features such as translation can be unlocked via a one-time lifetime purchase (Google Play Billing) or by watching a rewarded ad (Google AdMob). When you watch a rewarded ad, Google AdMob may collect device information such as advertising identifiers; when you make a purchase, Google Play Billing processes the information necessary to complete the transaction. This data is handled under Google's own privacy policy, and the Application itself does not separately collect or store it.

3. Third-Party Services

The Application may use the following trusted third-party services:

Google ML Kit (OCR & Translation Engine)
Android System TTS
Google AdMob (Rewarded ads – used only when unlocking a Pro trial)
Google Play Billing (Lifetime purchase processing)

4. Ad Privacy Settings & Deletion Requests

You can control or reset advertising identifiers at any time via device settings (Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization, or Reset advertising ID). Uninstalling the Application removes all data stored locally on your device, including your Pro unlock status. Since the Application does not operate its own server-side account, most deletion requests are satisfied by the steps above.

5. Your Rights (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)

Depending on where you live (e.g., the GDPR in the EU/UK, or the CCPA/CPRA in California, USA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict the processing of, or object to the processing of your information. The Application itself does not store personal data on any server. Rights related to data processed by Google (ads, payments) can be exercised through Google's own policies and settings. 7. Disclaimer

The developer is not liable for any direct or indirect damages resulting from the use of this application. Users must comply with applicable laws and the terms of service of any third-party platforms (e.g., Webtoon, Novel platforms) while using this app.
